OSHA 10 Construction Training

June 9 - June 10

About: Virginia Department of Labor and Industry Division of Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) and the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research have partnered to offer the OSHA 10 Construction Course with support from the VOSH Institute for Learning & Outreach.

Course Description: This course will provide information on construction safety and health hazards that a worker may encounter. Emphasis will be placed on hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention in the construction industry.  Information on employee rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint will also be covered.  Participants will earn the OSHA 10 Construction Card upon successful completion of the course. Recommended for entry-level workers in a variety of occupations in the construction industry. Topics Include: Falls; Electrocution; Struck-By Objects or Vehicles; Caught-In or Between; Personal Protective Equipment; Health Hazards in Construction.
